Man attacks woman, 18, who stopped to help in Perry County

LANDISBURG, Pa. (WHTM) -

A woman was attacked in Carroll Township Saturday after she stopped to help a man she thought needed medical attention, State Police said.

The incident happened around 10 p.m. after an 18-year-old woman saw a man crouched over on the side of the road. When she stepped out of her car to help him, police say the man grabbed her around the throat and shoved her up against her car.

The woman was able to break free and drive away.
