Garland Baylor
HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHTM) -
Harrisburg police are looking for a city man wanted in the armed robbery of a 55-year-old Uptown woman.
Garland Baylor, 19, faces charges of robbery, conspiracy and firearms violations for the crime Thursday night in the 500 block of Curtin Street, according to city police.
Police said the victim used a $50-bill to buy candy and cigarettes at a store at North 6th and Curtin streets and a man who was at the counter near her followed her out of the store.
He called to her, addressed her as "Auntie" and asked to talk to her, then pulled out a handgun and demanded her money, police said.
He was joined by another young man who also pointed a handgun at the woman. She turned over her money and was not harmed, police said.
Authorities said they identified Baylor as the robber who followed the woman out of the store through the store's surveillance system.
Baylor's alleged accomplice was described as a black male in his teens, about 5"5" tall, and wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, black jeans with a gold design on the back pockets, and black and white sneakers, police said.
