HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHTM) -

Police are investigating a robbery where one man was assaulted on the 500 block of Forester Street, according to Harrisburg police.

On Saturday at around 3:45 a.m. a robber stole a wallet from a man and ran off, police said.

The victim and another man chased the robber down. They caught up to the robber, who got out of a car, and attacked one of the men.

The robber ran off, leaving the car behind, police said.

Police contacted the owner of the car who lives in Camp Hill. Police learned that the owner allowed a family friend to use the car. That man reported that he visited Harrisburg to get drugs. While in the home of some people who were using drugs, he loaned the car to a man who promised to go for more drugs. The man never returned, police said.

The suspect is a black man, about 6-feet-tall with a heavy build.

Anyone with information may call police at 717-255-7299.
