CARLISLE, Pa. (WHTM) -

Carlisle police said a teenager was stabbed Tuesday morning in a dispute over a dog.

Investigators said 20-year-old William Harris stabbed 19-year-old Dashawn Devonshire three times in front of a home in the 100 block of East Penn Street.

Witnesses told police the stabbing happened after Harris heard Devonshire gave his dog cold medicine that made it sick.

The argument began inside a home and then they went outside. There was a brief struggle before Harris allegedly stabbed Devonshire.

Police said Devonshire was flown to Penn State Hershey Medical Center and was listed in stable condition.

Investigators said Harris is still on the loose and is facing aggravated assault and endangerment charges. They consider him armed and dangerous.
