MIDDLETOWN, Pa. (WHTM) -

A single-engine plane had an issue with its landing gear Tuesday night and was stuck on the runway for approximately two hours.

According to airport spokesperson Scott Miller, the pilot landed the plane safely and was not injured.

All flights were diverted for a two-hour period because the airport only has one runway.

Miller said crews safely removed the plane from the runway around 11 p.m. The airport reopened about 30 minutes later.

Information about the origin of the small plane and the identity of its pilot were not immediately available.
