MOUNTVILLE, Pa. (WHTM) -

A Columbia man was arrested for the robbery of a Mountville convenience store just minutes after he committed the crime Thursday night, police said.

Richard Eugene Eisenberger Jr., 31, had his hand in his pocket as if he had a weapon when he demanded cash and cigarettes from the Turkey Hill store on East Main Street, according to West Hempfield Township.

Eisenberger fled but was arrested just two block from the store by responding officers, police said.

Police said no weapon was found, and that Eisenberger only pretended to have a gun. He was charged with robbery and sent to Lancaster County Prison on $20,000 cash bail.

There were no injuries as a result of the robbery.
