SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. (WHTM) -
Police say Dane Barber, 49, kidnapped a woman and held her in his Shippensburg home for three days.
Shippensburg police say they found the victim at Barber's house on Friday. She had a black eye and bruises on her left arm and knee. She told police that Barber had been forcing her to stay at his home since October 9. She was afraid to leave.
Police were able to locate the victim because of text messages she sent to her son in Virginia.
On Wednesday, police say they took a call from a woman who saw the victim and Barber together. She said Barber had hit the victim and told her that she needed to learn how to talk to him.
The initial caller also told police that Barber got mad and forced her into a vehicle. She was also afraid Barber was driving intoxicated.
