CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. (WHTM) -
A man charged in the shooting death of a Chambersburg teen last month has been preliminarily arraigned on first-degree murder and related charges.
Steffawn Spriggs remains in the Camp Hill state prison without bail and is scheduled to go before a district judge during a preliminary hearing next Tuesday.
Spriggs, 23, is accused in the shooting death of Calvin Beam, who was gunned down September 17 in the area of Franklin
Street and Martin Avenue.
Police have said Spriggs could have ties to a gang, but they continue to investigate the circumstances leading up to the killing.
He was already in prison when police announced the charges September 27, for slipping away from a Harrisburg halfway house in July.
