A former teacher will spend 20 to 40 years in prison for having sexual relationships with two teenagers, including one from the school where she worked.
Christy Lee Smith, 34, received her sentence Wednesday in Lancaster County court.
The former English teacher at McCaskey High School was found guilty in July on 18 counts stemming from the relationships she had with the teens between 2008 and 2010.
The charges included eight counts of child pornography. Authorities said Smith photographed a 17-year-old boy during their numerous sexual encounters
at her College Avenue apartment between December 2009 and April 2010.
Another boy who was a student at McCaskey told investigators that he and Smith had sexual encounters in
her apartment at least three times between November 2008 and January
2009, when he was 15 to 16 years old.
She was also convicted of corruption of minors, statutory sexual assault, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, and unlawful contact with minors.
