EAST BERLIN, Pa. (WHTM) -
State police have released the man of a driver who died Monday afternoon after he crashed into a tractor-trailer on Route 194 in York County.
Timothy S. Grim Jr., 19, of Wellsville, lost control of a Toyota sedan in a slight curve near Leathery Road in Washington Township and slid into the oncoming lane, police said in a news release.
Grim hit the northbound truck nearly head-on and both vehicles almost immediately burst into flames, police said. He died at the scene.
The truck driver, 45-year-old Mark Wesser of Elizabethtown, was taken to Penn State Hershey Medical Center for treatment of his injuries.
Route 194 was closed in both directions in the area while police investigated the crash.
