HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHTM) -

This week an Enola soldier competed in the U.S. Army's Best Warrior Competition.

SPC Paul Welte is one of only 24 soldiers from across the country who participated in the competition held at Fort Lee, Va.

In order to qualify for the competition, Welte had to win at the local level.

The U.S. Army's Best Warrior Competition is described as the Super Bowl of Army competitions. Soldiers are tested on their Army aptitude and compete in urban warfare simulations, board interviews, physical fitness tests, essays and battle drills.

Welte is stationed in Fort Myer, Va. where he is a food service Specialist. He has been in the Army for two years.
