HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHTM) -
A woman who had her purse stolen from a Harrisburg area store wants it back, but not because of the money.
Crystal Beatty said she was on the phone with a doctor and accidentally left her purse in her shopping cart at the Target in Lower Paxton Township. When she went back for the purse, it was gone - along with some very important documents.
Doctors can't figure out why Beatty's 14-year-old son has lesions on his kidneys, liver and spleen. Beatty is planning to get a second opinion from Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, and all of that was on her mind while she was shopping.
"I think the doctor called at that very moment," Beatty said. "I took my phone out of the purse and I pushed it into the stall with my purse still in it."
Beatty's purse not only had her cash and credit cards, but her son's medical information.
"I don't have the ER notes, his scan for his liver biopsy, his CT scan and chest x-ray that they did," she said.
Store managers called police who looked at surveillance video. Investigators have released photos of a man and woman who may have information about the crime and are wanted for questioning.
"If you want the cash, keep it," Beatty said. "But drop my purse off at Target or the police station. You have my address, it's in my wallet. Just put it on my porch on in the mailbox. Just give me back my purse."
Anyone who can identify the people in the photos is asked to call Lower Paxton Township police at (717) 657-5656.
