CARLISLE, Pa. (WHTM) -

Police in North Middleton Township, Cumberland County have reported more black bear sightings.

The 300- to 400-pound bear damaged several bird feeders near Village Park and went into a dumpster at the Sovereign Bank on Cavalry Road, police told abc27 News.

A bear was also spotted this morning off Crane's Gap Road in the Pine Ridge Mobile Home Park, but caused no damage there, police said.

Police said they contacted the Pennsylvania Game Commission and asked wildlife conservation officers to make attempts to trap the bear.

Police have reported several black bear sightings in the township this month.

They have advised residents to take precautions and not confront bears. They said bird feed and garbage cans should be locked in a shed or garage.
