Tyshawn Anderson (left) and Devoid Williams
DOVER, Pa. (WHTM) -
Two Dover Township teens were arrested after they were identified as the suspects in a knifepoint robbery Sunday night, according to police.
Northern York County Regional police said the victims, another 18-year old Dover Township man and an 18-year-old Manchester
Township woman, reported they gave a ride to 17-year-old Tyshawn Anderson and 18-year-old Devoid Williams Sunday night.
Williams told the driver to turn down a gravel driveway along Tower Drive, and when the driver asked why, Williams and Anderson pulled knives and demanded money from the backseat, police said.
The woman got out of the vehicle in an attempt to escape and was confronted
outside of the vehicle by two males wearing ski masks, police said. The driver
sustained a cut on his chin/throat area during the incident.
After the victims said they had nothing to give to the group, the group fled the area on foot and the victims went to a convenience store and called 911, police said.
Anderson and Williams were charged with robbery, aggravated assault, reckless and endangerment. Anderson was charged as an adult.
Police said they were working to confirm the identities of the suspects wearing the ski masks and additional arrests were pending.
