Gerlach re-elected in Pa's 6th congressional district

HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHTM) -

Republican Jim Gerlach has been elected to a sixth two-year term in Pennsylvania's 6th congressional district.

Gerlach, of Chester County, beat Democrat Manan Trivedi, a Berks County physician and a former Marine Corps surgeon who served in the Iraq war.

Gerlach has served in the U.S. House of Representatives since 2003.

District 6 includes part of Lebanon County, including some precincts in Lebanon City as well as the boroughs of Cornwall, Myerstown and Richland. The congressional district also encompasses parts of Berks, Chester and Montgomery counties.
