Republican Patrick Meehan has won the race for Pennsylvania's 7th congressional district.

Meehan, of Drexel Hill, defeated Democrat George Badey, a Delaware County attorney in Tuesday's election.

Meehan is a former U.S. attorney and has served in the U.S. House of Representatives since 2011.

District 7 includes part of Lancaster, Berks, Chester, Montgomery, and Delaware counties.
