2 attempted child luring incidents reported in Middletown

MIDDLETOWN, Pa. (WHTM) -

Middletown police said they are investigating two separate reports of attempted child lurings on Tuesday and Wednesday.

The first incident occurred around 4:30 p.m. Tuesday in the area of S. Catherine and Wilson streets, where a man approached a 13-year-old girl and tried to give her a ride, according to police.

The man was described as a medium complected black male with a beard, police said. He was driving an aqua blue sedan similar to a Ford Crown Victoria and was last heading west on Wilson Street toward Genesis Court.

The second incident occurred around 6:30 a.m. Wednesday in the area of Market and Lawrence streets, where a man tried to entice a teenage boy into his car, police said.

The suspect car was also described as lighter blue and similar to a Crown Victoria, but the only information about his description is that he was wearing a hoodie, police said.
