ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. (WHTM) -
Lancaster County Coroner Steve Diamantoni has performed an autopsy on the skeletal remains found in Elizabethtown last week, but the identity of the person remains a mystery.
Diamantoni said his office is also trying to determine the cause and manner of death and have called in specialized teams to help.
He said the person has likely been dead for "at least weeks."
A hunter discovered the human remains Thursday in a wooded area of Elizabethtown on the property of the Masonic Village.
It could be several more weeks before Diamantoni's findings are complete.
Police have said the deceased does not appear to be related to the residents or staff of the Masonic Village.
