Middletown police said they are investigating two separate reports of attempted child lurings on Tuesday and Wednesday.
The first incident occurred around 4:30 p.m. Tuesday in the area of South Catherine and Wilson streets, where a man approached a 13-year-old girl and tried to give her a ride, according to police.
The man was described as a medium-complected black male with a beard, police said. He was driving an aqua blue sedan similar to a Ford Crown Victoria and was last heading west on Wilson Street toward Genesis Court.
The second incident occurred around 6:30 a.m. Wednesday in the area of Market and Lawrence Streets, where a man tried to entice a teenage boy into his car, police said.
The boy told abc27 News he was waiting for his school bus when it happened.
"It caught me off guard," he said. "I mean, I go to that bus stop every morning. I really wasn't expecting it."
The teen did not want to give his name, but said a man rolled down the window and asked him to get into his car several times.
"Then he demanded I get into his car," he said.
He said the driver finally left and he reported the incident when he got to school.
The suspect's car was also described as lighter blue and similar to a Crown Victoria, but the only information about his description is that he was wearing a hoodie, police said.
