FORT INDIANTOWN GAP, Pa. (WHTM) -

The Pa. National Guard will be testing live artillery Tuesday and Wednesday at Fort Indiantown Gap, said Department of Military and Veterans Affairs spokeswoman Joan Nissley.

She said residents can expect to hear loud booming noises between 8 a.m. and 11 p.m. The National Guard is testing of 155 mm artillery. She said the sound may travel farther if the skies are clear.

Kelly Gardner-Meyersm, who lives in the Hummelstown area, said her house was shaking Tuesday morning because of the tests.

Fort Indiantown Gap is the only live fire maneuver training facility in the state.
