NEW HOLLAND, Pa. (WHTM) -

A 19-year-old New Holland man has been arrested for attacking a social worker from the Lancaster-Lebanon Intermediate Unit.

Jackie Lee Allison III faces charges of aggravated assault and terroristic threats.

New Holland police said they were called to Allison's home in the 100 block of Ashlea Garden Thursday morning after he swung a baseball bat toward the social worker and then jabbed the knife toward the school district employee.

The social worker managed to escape the home and call police, who said the employee was attempting to counsel Allison with his career and technology center training.

Allison was sent to Lancaster County Prison on $50,000 bail.
