CARLISLE, Pa. (WHTM) -
Several customers have stepped up to help save a struggling Carlisle restaurant.
The Green Room, which features local and organic fare, said in October that they would have to close in a couple of weeks unless they raised $30,000 and $50,000.
"A few of our customers have stepped forward to become members in the business and help us move beyond our past, somewhat costly, learning opportunities," restaurant owner Patrick Andrews announced Thursday.
Andrews previously told abc27 that the restaurant took a hit last year when they found out that their payroll company had been embezzling money.
In an effort to revamp the restaurant's presence, Andrews said they will now begin serving their own craft beer and local wines. They will expand their hours and begin serving Sunday bunch. Upcoming changes also include a flexible food share program, corporate sponsorships and expanded catering.
