CAMP HILL, Pa. (WHTM) -

Story updated at 7:20 to correct the age of the victim.

A 25-year-old man was struck by a vehicle near the Pizza Grille on Gettysburg Road in Camp Hill around 5:45 p.m. Thursday.

Police say he has serious leg and chest injuries after being hit by a blue car on the 3900 block of Gettysburg Road. He was attempting to cross the street to visit a friend's house.

"It's a fairly low-riding car," said Lower Allen Township Police Chief Frank E. Williamson. "[So it] hit him in the leg, he ends up on the windshield, rolls off and ends up ... on the road

The victim was flown to Penn State Hershey Medical Center.

Gettysburg Road was closed for several hours between St. John's and Slate Hill Roads while accident reconstruction teams worked in the area.

Anyone with information on the accident is asked to call Lower Allen Township POlice at 717-238-9679.

Later in the evening, a car struck a man on a bike on the 6100 block of Haymarket Way in Hampden Township.

He was transported by ambulance to an area hospital. His injuries do not appear to be life threatening.
