Lebanon parents will take school district back to court over truancy fines

LEBANON, Pa. (WHTM) -

Parents who are fighting truancy fines imposed by the Lebanon School District will take their case back to court Monday.

They filed a lawsuit against the district, saying the fines were excessive. The parents said collectively they paid more than $108,000.

A judge recently agreed that the fines were excessive but has not ruled how much money, if any, the parents should get back. The hearing Monday will examine the restitution issue.
