HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHTM) -
A Harrisburg man gunned down in his girlfriend's apartment Tuesday night was shot four times in the head and body, according to the Dauphin County Coroner.
Coroner Graham Hetrick on Wednesday identified the victim as 35-year-old Luis Diaz.
Diaz's body was found on the kitchen floor of the apartment at 1114B Cloverly Road, in the Hoverter Homes community, when officers responded to the shooting at around 8 p.m.
Police said his girlfriend told officers that she was upstairs, heard a commotion and shots, went to the stairway and saw a man in a hooded sweatshirt leaving the apartment.
She said she saw Diaz on the floor before she went to her door and screamed for help, police said.
Hetrick said Diaz was shot with a .40-caliber weapon, and that investigators recovered three of the four bullets.
Police have not named a suspect in this homicide.
Anyone with information is asked to call Harrisburg police at 717-255-3184 or 717-255-6586.
City spokesman Bob Philbin said this was Harrisburg's eighth homicide of the year.
