SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. (WHTM) -
A 25-year-old man has been arrested for a weekend shooting incident near the Shippensburg University campus.
Darrel Michael Hill, of Shippensburg, was charged Friday with aggravated assault and a firearms violation, according to state police.
The charges stem from an incident early Saturday, when several people went to a home at 45 Sunbeam Court in Shippensburg Township to start a fight with another man they believed was in the residence.
During the incident, a chair was thrown into a first floor window and a member of the group fired a single shot through the broken window, striking a 20-year-old man, police said.
The victim, who was not identified, was treated at Chambersburg Hospital and was later released.
Hill was released on $100,000 unsecured bail. A preliminary hearing was waived for court.
