Man dies after stabbing incident in Biglerville

Posted: Updated:
BIGLERVILLE, Pa. (WHTM) -

A Maryland man died on his way to York Hospital after he was stabbed in a Biglerville home early Tuesday, according to state police.

Police said 30-year-old Greggory A. Jackson, of Taneytown, had gone to a Fourth Street home and argued with the residents before a fight broke out and Jackson was stabbed several times.

The incident occurred at around 2 a.m., police said.

The investigation is ongoing and no charges have been filed.  State police say the incident may not be considered a homicide even though the victim died as a result of his injuries.

"Not every death is considered  homicide," said Trooper Ed Asbury, "We do have a victim who is deceased, but we need to look at all of the circumstances surrounding this case, what happened before, during, and after this crime."

Although nobody has been charged, Asbury said investigators do not believe the community is in danger.
