Child reports possible luring incident in Camp Hill

CAMP HILL, Pa. (WHTM) -

Camp Hill police are alerting residents to a possible child luring attempt involving a 12-year-old boy.

The child reported that he was walking home from school Wednesday in the area of the 200 block of North 27th Street when a small, dirty pickup truck pulled up next to him and a passenger asked him if he wanted to get in, police said.

The student replied "no thank you" and the truck drove away, traveling south on North 27th Street, police said.

Authorities said there was no attempt to further lure or force the boy into the vehicle.

The boy said the pickup truck was occupied by two white men in their late teens to early 20's. Both were wearing knit hats and large gauge earrings, and the passenger had facial hair on his chin, police said.

Police said the incident was reported to them Thursday morning.

Anyone with information regarding the incident or any suspicious activity in the borough is asked to call Camp Hill police at 717-737-1570.
