Turkey barn destroyed by fire

GETTYSBURG, Pa. (WHTM) -

A turkey barn in Adams County was destroyed by fire Thursday.

It started around 5 p.m. on the 700 block of Russell Tavern Road near Gettysburg. The flames could be seen at a distance.

Officials said no people or animals were injured. The person who rents out the barn told abc27 a shipment of turkeys was actually expected to arrive Friday.
