Victim identified in Harrisburg fatal shooting

HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHTM) -

The Dauphin County Coroner has identified a man shot and killed in Harrisburg over the weekend.

Dion Britton, 27, of Harrisburg, died as the result of a shooting Saturday night in the Uptown area of the city, Coroner Graham Hetrick said Monday.

The shooting occurred in the 2000 block of Meyers Alley, which intersects at the 400 block of Peffer Street, just before 10 p.m.

Family members told officers they received a call telling them Britton had been shot at the location and found him there. They drove him to Harrisburg Hospital, where he was pronounced dead from a gunshot wound to the chest a short time later.

Police have announced no suspects or arrests.
