Harrisburg Police Officer Jenny Jenkins came off of vacation on Tuesday to speak with students at Foose Elementary about the Hall Manor incident that left a police officer injured.
Jenkins also answered questions posed by the students. She was asked why the suspect shot at police and how he died. Jenkins told them she didn't know why he fired his weapon but said he took his own life.
Jenkins, who has been with the police department for eight years, told students that their decision-making will have a big impact on their future.
She also emphasized that it's important to avoid gang and drug activity and not to give into peer pressure.
