York County approves property tax hike

YORK, Pa. (WHTM) -

If you live in York County, chances are good you'll be paying higher taxes next year.

Commissioners approved the 2013 budget Wednesday, which calls for a property tax hike of nearly 9 percent.

That means a resident with a home assessed at $150,000 would pay an additional $55 a year in taxes.

As part of the approved budget, 12 jobs were also eliminated.
