Christmas Day will mark the final steam whistle concert at the New York Wire Company.
The plant has hosted the event since 1955, but company officials announced in October that they will shut down the York factory.
Whistle master Donald Ryan has been involved in every show since the beginning and has never missed a performance. He began by helping out his father and took over as whistlemaster in 1990.
Ryan said he will dedicate the last concert to the company and it's employees who supported the event for decades.
A whistle committee is searching for a new location for future steam whistle concerts. Ryan said he is optimistic that a new location can be found in York.
