Lancaster City/County Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of up to $1,000 for information leading to an arrest in a 25-year-old cold case homicide.
During the early morning hours of December 7, 1987, a family member found Carrie Marshall dead inside her home on the 500 block of South Duke Street in Lancaster.
An autopsy she had suffered numerous injuries from a sharp edged weapon during the incident.
The scene appeared to indicate that a burglary occurred inside the home at the time when Marshall was killed.
Over the past 25 years, investigators from the Lancaster Bureau of Police have interviewed dozens of people regarding the homicide, but no substantial leads have been developed.
Police and Marshall's surviving family members are seeking answers and closure in the case.
