CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. (WHTM) -
State police say two people were killed in a crash on Route 11.
Troopers say the crash happened around 4:20 Friday afternoon. One car was traveling northbound on Route 11 and drifted into the southbound lanes striking a car in the front bumper, causing both vehicles to spin off the road.
The Franklin County coroner pronounced the driver of the struck car, 68-year-old Samuel Naugle, dead at the scene. The other driver, 51-year-old Dean Schroeder, was flown to Chambersburg hospital where that person later died.
Route 11 was closed in both directions for a couple hours as crews investigated. It has since reopened.
State police says both drivers were wearing seat belts.
