Police: patron chased, tackled Harrisburg shoplifter

HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHTM) -

After an alleged shop lifter left the Dollar Store, a Harrisburg man chased him down and tackled him before police arrived, Harrisburg Police said in a press release.

The incident happened just before 6 p.m. on Monday at the Dollar Store on Cameron Street when an employee asked Kevin Lambert, 41, to replace items he was hiding in his coat, police said. Lambert then shoved her and another clerk as he ran out of the store.  

A 38-year-old Harrisburg man, ran out after Lambert. The man then got into his car, followed Lambert and then tackled him.

The man then held onto Lambert until police officers were able to get handcuffs on him.
