Thursday improves but another storm possible Saturday

Posted: Updated:

Clouds will remain a mainstay through much of the day as the low pressure center to our north pulls away.  A strong northwest flow will create blustery conditions this afternoon as winds may gust as high as 40 mph.

The forecast tonight will be a bit chillier due to the snow cover we have across the Midstate.  Wind speeds overnight will decrease, but it will be breezy at times.

We continue to watch the potential for a coastal storm that will bring us snow on Saturday.  Yesterday the chances of the storm seemed to decrease, but the latest model guidance has brought it back into view.  The general idea with this storm brings us light to moderate snowfall during the day on Saturday.  If the current timing is correct, we can anticipate the snow to start in the morning between 7-10 am and end at or just after dinner time.

Eric Finkenbinder will have more updates later this evening.
