Police: collectable train sets stolen from storage units

Posted: Updated:
YORK, Pa. (WHTM) -

Several storage units in York County have been broken into this month and, though the most notable items taken had wheels, police say they didn't just drive off on their own.

Several collectable train sets were stolen from Old Trail Mini Storage and Exit 10 Mini Storage in Shrewsbury Township and Springfield Township, state police said in a press release.

The sets consist of Lionel, Marx, H.O. Tyco and American Flyer trains. Police say the perpetrators may have tried to sell them at local hobby shops.

Anyone with information about the incidents is asked to call police at 717-428-1011.
