CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. (WHTM) -

A Waynesboro man has been jailed on a charge of homicide by vehicle for a fatal crash early Monday in Chambersburg.

Agustin Macias-Marquez, 27, was also charged with DUI, homicide by vehicle while DUI, and two counts of aggravated assault by vehicle while DUI, according to Chambersburg police.

Police said Macias-Marquez traveling on Cleveland Avenue just after midnight when he went through a stop sign and struck a vehicle driven by 30-year-old Nicholas Fortenberry before both vehicles came to rest against a home at the intersection of McKinley Street.

A passenger in Fortenberry's vehicle, 25-year-old Heather Coble, of Shippensburg, was killed by the impact.

Coble's loved ones stopped by the crash scene Monday afternoon. Greg Brown said he has two daughters with her. He said the hardest part is thinking about his girls, who are only 5 and 6 years old, growing up without a mother.

"It's hard, especially when the one's birthday was just yesterday," Brown said. "She didn't deserve anything like this, because someone wanted to go out and play stupid and drink and drive."

Fortenberry and another passenger in his vehicle, 24-year-old Madison Perry, both of Shippensburg, suffered serious injuries and were flown to York Hospital.

Macias-Marquez was being held in the Franklin County Jail on $350,000 cash bail. A preliminary hearing was scheduled for January 8.
