CARLISLE, Pa. (WHTM) -

State police said a Cumberland County man pulled a knife on a trooper who had responded to a domestic dispute in South Middleton Township.

Roger Moore, 39, of Mechanicsburg, pulled the knife in a threatening manner and then locked himself in a bathroom during the incident Sunday night in the first block of Cardinal Drive, police said in a news release.

The troopers had gone to the home at around 10:30 p.m. to speak to Moore, who had allegedly choked a 38-year-old woman and struck her in the back of the head, police said.

Troopers eventually forced their way into the bathroom and took Moore into custody without further incident.

He was charged aggravated assault, simple assault, harassment, and terroristic threats.
