Danville VA - The Free Clinic of Danville can really use a recent $20,000 donation from the J. T. Minne Maude Charitable Trust.
The executive director of the clinic said the donation came at a perfect time. She said due to many people being out of work, they've had record amount of people who don't have health insurance and still need health care. She also said they've specifically had a lot of women needing mammograms but were not able to attend to all of them.
"It was great that we were able to call our patients and tell them that were able to continue to get them back on services to get their screening mammograms done," Denise Buckner said.
In addition to mammograms, the donation will also help fund women's health education, pap smears and gynecological care.
