A York woman has been arrested on charges she embezzled more than $137,359 from her employer.
Fairview Township police said 46-year-old Phuong Nguyen-Davis was employed as a bookkeeper for Keystone Certifications Incorporated, on Old York Road in Etters, when she forged 117 checks between July 2010 and December 2012.
The thefts were discovered while Keystone Certifications was reviewing records and discovered some discrepancies, police said.
Nguyen-Davis was arraigned Wednesday on 117 second-degree felony counts of forgery and 108 third-degree felony counts of theft by deception and released on $25,000 unsecured bail.
Her preliminary hearing is scheduled for January
