MYERSTOWN, Pa. (WHTM) -

The driver of a Chevrolet Camaro was in critical condition at Penn State Hershey Medical Center after the back wheels of a school bus ran over the car.

State police said the 19-year-old driver Thursday afternoon failed to stop at a stop sign at the intersection of Houtztown and East Rosebud Roads in Jackson Township, Lebanon County. In the middle of the intersection, the car crashed into the passenger side of the school bus.

The school bus continued traveling and its rear wheels ran over the Camaro. Both vehicles traveled several dozen feet before coming to a final rest.

There were no children on the bus at the time of the crash. The driver sustained minor injuries.

The driver of the Camaro was flown to Penn State Hershey Medical Center with major injuries.

A passenger in the vehicle had moderate injuries and was taken to the hospital by ambulance.
