MERCERSBURG, Pa. (WHTM) -
A Mercersburg couple shouldn't be out of their home for long after an early morning attic fire, MMP&W Fire Chief said.
When crews responded to 3581 Mercersburg Road in Peters Township around 2 a.m. on Friday, flames were visible through the roof, said Chief Dale Carbaugh.
He said the Mercersburg-based fire company did a "good save" on the home and that the family should be able to rebuild and move forward.
The fire was contained to the attic but the first and second floors had some smoke and water damage.
He said state police believe the cause of the fire was electrical.
