WAYNESBORO, Pa. (WHTM) -
Police have taken a suspect into custody following a carjacking and police pursuit in Franklin County.
Waynesboro Police
were dispatched to a reported carjacking at the intersection of West Third Street
and South Potomac Street around 6 p.m. on Jan.
5.
The suspect approached the victim's vehicle while the victim
was stopped at a red light. The suspect then pulled the victim from the
vehicle and fled the scene in the stolen vehicle.
That night around 1 a.m. police
engaged in a pursuit with the stolen vehicle. The stolen vehicle subsequently
crashed. The driver then fled on foot and was apprehended by officers.
The suspect, identified as Curtis Wade Munday of Waynesboro, was lodged in the Shenandoah
County Jail pending criminal charges.
