Coroner investigating fatal accident in Lower Paxton

HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHTM) -

A section of Nyes Road in Lower Paxton Township, Dauphin County was closed Tuesday afternoon while officials investigated a fatal accident.

Nyes Road was closed between Old Jonestown Road and Locust Lane, according to a 911 dispatcher. The roadway has since reopened.

A police officer who was on the scene told abc27 News the accident occurred in a private driveway and that the victim was run over by her own vehicle.

The Dauphin County Coroner's Office is investigating.
