HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHTM) -

Susquehanna Township police arrested two men for stealing light posts from a construction project at the HACC campus.

On Monday, Jan. 7 at 11:45 a.m., an officer on patrol observed a suspicious vehicle in the area of Lucknow Road and North Second Street.

The officer stopped the vehicle to investigate and found it was occupied by two men, later identified as 59-year-old Felix Pacheco and 27-year-old Rahemm Pearson, both of Ivey Lane in Harrisburg.

The truck that Pearson was driving was loaded with metal light poles and light fixtures, as well as two street signs. Pearson provided a false name and information to the officer during the investigation, and both claimed to have gathered the metal products as "scrap."

The officer determined that the light poles and fixtures has been stolen recently from a construction site at HACC.

Both Pearson and Pacheco were arrested and now face charges including theft. Pearson was also charged with false identification to law enforcement.  Both were arraigned.

Pearson was remanded to Dauphin County Prison on $5,000 bail while Pacheco was released on $10,000 unsecured bail.

The light fixtures were returned to HACC.
