Lynchburg Student Named to Governor's Safety Task Force

Lynchburg, VA - A Lynchburg College student has been named to Governor McDonnell's school safety task force.

Jillian McGarrity is one of four dozen people named.

McDonnell created the panel following the Newtown shootings.

This panel will review school policies and procedures as well as funding and resource challenges.

It's all in an effort to keep students and teachers safe.
