Lynchburg - Today's ABC 13 High School Team of the Week is the Heritage girls basketball team. The Pioneers are having a great season on the hardwood. After a win over JF last night, Heritage is now 11-and-2 on the year, a perfect 5-and-0 in the Seminole District. Last year's Seminole Player of the Year Cameron Carter leads the way, but she's got plenty of help, like Morgan Pannell who had one of her best games ever Friday at Brookville. That 52-46 win gave the Pioneers a two-game lead over the Bees in the district standings.
Tracie Hayes, HERITAGE HEAD COACH, said "This is a huge win. It puts us number 1 in the district and we haven't ever been number one other than at the very end of the season with Brookville. And we were going for the championship and they beat us in the finals, so this was a good sweet revenge."
