Rocky Mount, VA - A Franklin County Grand Jury has handed down seven indictments against a Rocky Mount store operator accused of selling synthetic marijuana also known as "Spice" or "K-2".
Steven Arnold Cooper, who owns Misty Mountain Wares, faces six felonies related to the sale of the banned substance, three of which include distribution within one thousand feet of a school.
Cooper's store is located across from Franklin County High School.
This is the first prosecution in Franklin County, for "Spice", since new laws banning the product went into effect last July.
